Yes, it is where no man has gone before. Here are the specs from NERDESQUE:
This Starship Enterprise NCC-1701D of Star Trek was fabricated by Takayuki Hoshino & Shinji Matsui, in one-billionth scale by 30 kV Ga+ focused-ion- beam CVD using phenanthrene gas… The model measures a mere 8.8 micrometers long. (There are 1000 micrometers in 1 millimeter)
I am green with jealous rage, right now! This is one of the coolest things ever. Anytime you can make anything Star Trek come to life, you should. It’s just the right thing to do.
But I’m not done. Not only did this guy build a functional phaser. He shows you how to, as well.
Trekkies, your time has come. Resistance is futile.
First, let me say, if you have not seen the new Star Trek movie, please, by all means , go and see it! I have seen it and are looking to go a second time very soon.
I have been a fan of Star Trek for as long as I have been a fan of Star Wars. I watched the original series and Next Gen. with my parents. I watched some of Deep Space Nine as well as Voyager and Enterprise with Scott Bakula (Yeah, Quantum Leap!) I had a Star Trek encyclopedia before passing it down to my little brother.
I am only one of many – not unlike the Borg – that are very happy with the way J.J. Abrams has rejuvenated the series. And I am eager to see more Trek movies from Abrams!
In honor of Star Trek fandom, spockboy put together a video tribute. The purpose of this, exceptionally great, video is to signify the “passing of the torch”, if you will, to the new faces of Star Trek legend. This guys love and knowledge of Star Trek is easily seen. Watch and remember the days of yore.
With today being the opening day of the new Star Trek movie I thought it highly appropriate to give a quick “shout out” to Trekkies world wide (Live long and prosper).
Trekkies, what would Star Trek be without James Tiberius Kirk as portrayed by the one and only William Shatner. Let’s not even entertain that thought… watch this and remember the days of yore.
