Fans vs. Predators

written by IanKelly on Mar 16

DaemonsMovies.com posted this fan made poster in honor of the upcoming Predators movie:

I liked the first movie and hated the second. However, I’m hearing from “sources” that this new Predator movie is being made as a sequel to the first movie. That’s right, if we can pretend like the second one never happened, we’ll all be a lot happier.

Star Trek For People Who Like Tiny Things…

written by IanKelly on Mar 15

(Thanks to @mattlockett for sending this in.)

Yes, it is where no man has gone before. Here are the specs from NERDESQUE:

This Starship Enterprise NCC-1701D of Star Trek was fabricated by Takayuki Hoshino & Shinji Matsui, in one-billionth scale by 30 kV Ga+ focused-ion- beam CVD using phenanthrene gas… The model measures a mere 8.8 micrometers long. (There are 1000 micrometers in 1 millimeter)

Set Phaser To Stun

I am green with jealous rage, right now! This is one of the coolest things ever. Anytime you can make anything Star Trek come to life, you should. It’s just the right thing to do.

But I’m not done. Not only did this guy build a functional phaser. He shows you how to, as well.

Trekkies, your time has come. Resistance is futile.

Mamma Mia!

Everybody knows Queen! And even if you don’t (which is surprising) I know you have heard the Bohemian Rhapsody.

Right?!

Well, perhaps you don’t know the title but you will know the tune.

Here is a nice fanmade kinetic type rendition of said song.

WarMachine!

…And again I say: WarMachine!

This is ridiculously awesome. What can’t fans do?

F to the A to the N to the MADE.

FANMADE!

Galileo

written by IanKelly on Sep 28

(I found this baby over at Slippery Brick)

I am both astonished and ashamed.

Astonished – because of this fan’s dedication and ingenuity in creating a workable model of an Enterprise Galileo shuttle. (Wiping tears from eyes)

Ashamed -  because I did not think of doing something similar. (Fist shaking in air)

Oh, man, I can only dream of what would have happened if I had this as a kid… not to mention what would happen if I had this in my backyard right now!

LEGO Evolution.

written by IanKelly on Sep 26

LEGO’s what can’t you do with them?

Cars, have been built. House’s have been erected. Life-sized people have been fashioned. All well and dandy… but this guy wanted to become the LEGO. He wanted to take it just one step further.

Sir, well done. We enjoy your Fandom.

Behold, Dagobah!

written by IanKelly on Sep 22

I recently bought a 5-gallon aquarium and presently have 2 Goldfish living there. (That’s down from 8 originally but still, 2 is a pretty good number.) Well, imagine my surprise when I was shown the error of my ways!

What do I mean?

Behold, DAGOBAH!

Yep, your very own Dagobah based tadpole aquarium, courtesy Think Geek.

The Smallest Link

written by LeviBethune on Sep 07

I have two little kids, and my mind would explode if I could take them to comic con dressed as an Ewok and a Jawa. However, I would also settle for this tasty hand-knit outfit. Dress your offspring as Link from The Legend of Zelda.

Craftster.org user UpKnitCreek created this outfit for a friend’s baby shower. BFF.

What does Tuna have to do with Homer Simpson?

Canstruction is a website that specializes in enormous sculptures built entirely with canned foods.

Doesn’t look like any Duff Beer cans were used in the construction of this masterpiece:
